As a tech-lead Web, you'll own the technical, execution and successful delivery for one of our incredible web teams. You'll thrive if evolving our web platform, technical decision making, leading a team and improving the performance and resilience of our web applications is your passion.
Day-to-day, you'll work with product to lead, guide, and motivate a team of engineers by communicating the technology vision for the sprints, setting goals and priorities together with product. You'll succeed by learning what solutions are simultaneously impactful, usable, valuable, and feasible, through daily communication with your teams and other key technology partners.
What are we looking for?
Own the web technology for one of the web teams: All aspects of the engineering, management, deployment (CI/CD) and most importantly its evolution
Hands-on technical leadership, participating in architecture design, code review, pair programming, and implementation of proven software design patterns
Ensuring scalability of highly visible consumer-facing products and backend services
Provide technical and non-technical mentorship for the engineers on the team
Foster a strong, collaborative engineering culture on the team
Advocate and advance modern software development practices within the team
Develop the careers and technical expertise of people on your team through coaching, mentoring, and feedback
Work closely with other in product management, project management and platform engineering (backend and services) teams
Recruit and hire talented engineers, as well as facilitate their onboarding
Communicate status, risks, and requirements to your peers and senior leaders
6+ years of experience in software development
3+ years managing or leading a team of engineers
You are passionate and enthusiastic about what you do and rely on that to motivate members of your team
You advocate and facilitate continuous improvement/learning
You understand core technologies and engineering challenges facing consumer products
You maintain calmness through uncertainty, but a focused sense of urgency
You are an excellent communicator and have interpersonal skills
Deep empathy for your team members. customers and other humans
Proven management, mentoring, motivating, and coaching experience
Proven ability to deliver successful, valuable customer and business outcomes
Strong experience with Agile methodologies
