RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan, prepare and deliver culturally responsive and relevant lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning and engagement

Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs

Communicate with the Instructional Support Team and parents regarding student progress and areas for growth

Utilize relevant technology and instructional materials to support and differentiate instruction

Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with colleagues

Support all students with diverse needs (ENL, IEP, 504, etc.)Encourage family involvement in each student's education and ensure effective communication with students and families

Promote a classroom environment that is safe, welcoming and affirming for all students Work in a collaborative teaching environment, including co-teaching and interdisciplinary planning

Communicate effectively orally and in writing

Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, district and state POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: In depth knowledge of the engineering and design process.Knowledge of and the ability to plan and teach classes on a variety of technology topics including coding, robotics, electricity/electronics engineering, 3D design and printing, CAD, design and drawing.Innovative mindset for incorporating technology, digital fabrication (3D Printers, Laser Cutters, CNC routers) & mechanical fabrication into technology courses.Knowledge of NYS Technology Education Learning Standards and NYS Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards.Knowledge of the RTI process and ability to effectively communicate with the Instructional Support Team and parents regarding student progress and areas for growth

Demonstrated knowledge of NYS Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Frameworks Ability to analyze data to improve instructional practice and student learning outcomes

Ability to engage in self-reflection with regard to performance and professional growth; actively seeks professional learning opportunities

Possession of appropriate New York State Teacher CertificationAny STEM-based certification will suffice, though multiple certifications are much preferred KEYWORDS: STEM, STEAM, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, computer science, code, coding, programming, physics, industrial arts.
