The main purpose of this position is to provide quick and courteous technical support to the customer for any product sold by Wave in an individual capacity or as an integrated system of separate parts. Must be able to explain to customers of various technical abilities the knowledge of operation of a product(s) capabilities and limitations. Communicate with sales team in a professional and timely manner to advise them of any products that a customer might need in addition to their purchase. Log all calls and support issues in the appropriate database software with thorough notation of the problem and solution. Provide reports to the Technical Support Manager weekly of any recurring problems in a product(s)
The Technical Support Rep must have at least 2 years experience as a field tech or in tech support for Audio Video or Security equipment installation, router and general non-commercial network implementation, as well as an understanding of general integration system design. Direct customer relation skills whether phone based or in person.
General computer software proficiency is required (such as MS Office, Outlook Mail etc), specific log software and information database will be taught on the job.
