Tech, Sterile Processing (Ft, Evening) Monterey Park Hospital

Overview

Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is recruiting for a Sterile Processing Tech for our Central Services Department. This position is full time, 8 hour, night shift.

Monterey Park Hospital is a 101 bed acute care community hospital. Monterey Park Hospital has provided our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 50 years.

Responsibilities

The SPD Tech makes equipment rounds and returns soiled instruments to the SPD department. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Cidex OPA, IUSS, steam sterilizers, automatic instrument cleaner and other related equipment.

Candidate must have knowledge of proper procedures used for cleaning heat sensitive instruments. The SPD Technician will document timely on the required SPD logs. Additional duties include reviewing PAR levels of CDP/OR supplies and orders supplies/equipment as needed for the Department answers the phones and assists other staff as requested/needed.

Qualifications

Hospital or surgical center instrumentation experience preferred. Graduate from an accredited CS Technician program required. Sterile Processing Certification preferred.
