Position Location: Indianapolis, IN, Wallingford, CT, Atlanta, GA, Chicago, Palo Alto, Norfolk, Richmond, Thousand Oaks, Albany or NYC

Starting with cost of care, the digital use case strategy team aims to bridge the gap between Anthem core business and the future of healthcare powered by digital technologies. Taking a qualitative and quantitative approach, the team partners with the business to define and quantify new use cases before coming up with conceptual solutions that connect current / potential digital solutions.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Co-lead Tower by communicating and aligning executive digital strategy and initiatives across digital to Tower initiatives to ensure organizational alignment

  • Manage hypothesis intake to ensure ideas are grounded in business strategy and data findings

  • Curate and evaluate opportunities based on strategic alignment, market environment, and opportunity size

  • Manage business stakeholder relationships and connect challenges discovered to potential digital solutions (requires ability to understand Digital's current portfolio as well market scan / vendor evaluations for additional digital solutions)

  • Serve as a point of escalation for Tower related initiatives

  • Support storytelling and presentation creation for VP and Executive level audiences


Requires BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with IT focus degree; 15 years of enterprise project management experience in broad-based information systems, full life-cycle application development and/or building enterprise applications and/or data warehouse planning and development; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Demonstrated experience of managing increasing project size and complexity that are transformational in nature for the organization.

Demonstrated application of and proven success of project management methodology, management tools, analysis and research tools, documentation tools, and reporting tools required. Experience in coaching and mentoring project team members preferred. Experience in creating an effective team environment, building strong relationships, negotiation, solving problems and issues, resolving conflicts, managing resources in a matrix environment, communicating and influencing effectively at all levels of an organization required.

Demonstrated application of project management methodology required. Requires an understanding of the overall organization. Experience using portfolio management application and Rational tools preferred. Project management certification (PMP) preferred.

Understanding of health plan business, including CoC metrics

Experience in healthcare strategy / product

A problem solver with the willingness to oversee time and role up your sleeves when needed

Ability to navigate corporate environments and deal with levels of ambiguity

Experience building out business cases to evaluate use case viability

Experience taking product from ideation through production

The Role In this role you'll be responsible for overseeing the group's digital marketing strategy and providing support on more traditional product marketing, as well as working with other team members to build out our overall strategy.
