Job Description:

A visionary hands-on security infrastructure engineer who can perform product evaluations in Proxy (forward, Reverse, Transparent and Web 2.0), SSL interception/MITM & Data leakage space, Cloud security (Encryption and Tokenization), Security Analytics and Forensics, and Multi Variant Advanced Persistent Threat Prevention

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in analyzing malware and advanced persistence threats, malware lifecycle analysis and prevention technologies

  • Deploy Web 2.0 proxies for advanced content filtering, including SSL Interception

  • Day Zero Threat Prevention technologies with emphasis on machine learning

  • Excellent understanding of TCP/IP and packet analysis

  • Knowledgeable on DNS, DHCP, FireWalls, IPS, basic routing/switching

  • Expertise in virtualization and automation, including ability to bring automation and integration efficiency to existing platforms

  • Expertise in Security Analytics and Forensics - create custom parsers, queries, analyze and create custom meta data extractions on full packet capture solutions

  • Scripting/automation of various security products with Rest API / Soap UI

  • Hands on integration and testing with SEIM tools such as Arcsight, Splunk, Palantir, Cloudera platforms

Desired Skills:

  • 8+ years of overall networking experience with at least 5 years of hands on and familiarity of the following tools

  • Expertise in Bluecoat Proxy and Security Analytics, WebSense, Scansafe, Ironport, FireEye, Damballa, Radware, Vontu, Zscaler, Skyhigh, CipherCloud OR similar cloud encryption technologies

  • Knowledge of scripting languages for automation-(Shell, Python etc)

Nice to Have:

  • Advanced understanding of Machine learning, data modeling and perform advanced analytics using R / Python

  • Cloud Encryption and Tokenization - Understand complexities of cloud encryptions, Salesforce topology and integration of Salesforce / Servicenow clouds with Cloud encryption gateway

  • Expertise in concepts and implementation of Lucene elastic search, Yara Rules, Snort, Yum, PFring, Entropy DNS, Fastflux, Hadoop, MapR, Spark

The TAS mission is to assist taxpayers in resolving their problems with the IRS (Case Advocacy), and to identify and propose administrative and legislative solutions to mitigate those problems (Systemic Advocacy). WHAT DOES A MANAGEMENT & PROGRAM ANALYST DO? As a Management and Program Analyst, you will serve in the role of Senior Technical Advisor on Collection matters and/or issues related directly to the Taxpayer Advocate Service function. You will be responsible for general management and executive direction within the program and functional areas of the National Taxpayer Advocate. You will be responsible for high level, cross-functional projects, often of a confidential nature. These projects may include the development of broad policy and operational objectives as they relate to the function, which often require integrating and/or coordinating efforts and activities across organizational lines, including the Office of the National Taxpayer Advocate, other Operating Divisions and functional organizations. This position is under the general administrative direction of the National Taxpayer Advocate and as such you will be expected to have great familiarity with the Taxpayer Advocate function, its mission and the work performed in support of this mission. As a Management & Program Analyst you will: * Participate with the executives in formulating new or revised policies for high-level Service-wide programs providing administratively authoritative recommendations on matters related to the formulation and implementation of Service-wide program initiatives * Develop management objectives, strategies, actions, and critical success factors and consolidate final strategic business planning for the organization * Prepare and coordinate high-level correspondence and briefing material, including Congressional testimonies, the Annual Report to Congress (ARC), and IRS Oversight Board Briefings * Establish and coordinate special agency studies requiring analysis and evaluation of systemic taxpayer issues, Develop conclusions, recommendations, or proposals for executive approval, decision, review, or other consideration from internal or external sources * Assist in preparing taxpayer advocate directives, recommends changes to IRM, assist in preparing TAS memoranda, recommend changes in policy, and other written guidelines and recommendations.
