PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Must be willing to participate in the on call and back up call schedule requiring periodic scheduled and unscheduled work outside of the regular shift.

• Must be capable of trouble shooting complicated problems in electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical maintenance of all equipment with limited assistance or supervision.

• Maintain all pumps, valves, blowers, piping, supporting, equipment and vessels of plant in excellent operating condition.

• Maintain cooling towers, cooling tower equipment and water treatment for cooling towers.

• Assist with boiler operation and maintenance, including water treatment.

• Maintain Westphalia/GEA separators and clarifiers according to manufactures specifications.

• Maintain dryer equipment including the dryer unit, filter press and packaging equipment.

• Identify and repair potential equipment issues such as leaking valves & pumps throughout the plant.

• Make daily rounds throughout the plant and check critical equipment for proper operation.

• Service and repair lab equipment as needed.

• Document all work orders and preventive maintenance work orders in the computerized maintenance management system. (Mapcon)

• Assist Maintenance Planner in the spare parts management program to ensure adequate inventory of spare parts is always maintained.

• Provide daily report of activities to supervisor.

• Perform weekly preventive maintenance tasks on assigned equipment as scheduled.Secondary DutiesProvide project support as needed. This would include maintenance support as directed by the project manager. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED is required. Additionally, an associate degree in Industrial Maintenance and 5 years work experience in a manufacturing environment is desired. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee will occasionally have to work in a permitted confined space area.

• SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and repair all of the pivot systems on the farm as well as the pumping station.

• Assist other technicians when needed.
