Collins Aerospace Operations is seeking a highly qualified and self-directed individual to fulfill an opening as an Equipment Maintenance Technician. A background in manufacturing is required with emphasis on Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Through-hole and supporting functions, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and experience improving, and controlling process results.
Most desired: SMT/Through Hole line sustainment and troubleshooting: Deck/MPM screen printers, Universal Pick and Place. Also desired: Koh-Young Solder paste inspection, Yestech/TRI AOI.
SMT Equipment programming experience. Technical software programming skills most desired: Deck/MPM screen printers, Universal Pick and place. Also desired: Koh-Young Solder paste inspection, Yestech/TRI AOI.
Background in manufacturing preferably in Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical related machine problems, utilizing assorted testing tools.
Perform troubleshooting of electrical voltage, electronic control circuits, and have the ability to read and understand electrical schematic, electronic diagrams, and pneumatic diagrams.
Ability to perform major and minor repairs, tests, and calibration for mechanical, electrical, and electronically controlled production equipment.
Should possess electronic troubleshooting skills to diagnose symptoms to at least board level, component level troubleshooting ability is a plus.
Complete scheduled PM's and adhere to assigned maintenance schedules.
Work with equipment maintenance teammates during installation of new equipment, as well as moving and setting up existing equipment.
This position requires an HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
US Citizenship or permanent resident (Green Card) required
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Must have good organizational skills and the ability to achieve results through good communication skills and teamwork.
Associate's degree in appropriate discipline, and two years of related experience, or, in the absence of an associate's degree, high school diploma or equivalent plus five years of related experience.
Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, with no restrictions.
