TECH BRIDGE COORDINATOR (F3006-20-0429-F):
Bowhead seeks a Tech Bridge Coordinator to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN. The Tech Bridge Coordinator will be joining the team to coordinate for the Midwest Tech Bridge. The Tech Bridge Coordinator will primarily be responsible for bolstering non-traditional small business, industry, and academic engagement in the Tech Bridge, as well as the Chief Technology Office (CTO) team to maintain national coordination with the Small Business Innovative Research/Small Business Technology Transfer Program Office, NSWC Crane efforts, and NavalX.
Essential functions will include:
Working with a wide range of stakeholders in the Midwest Region, Indiana and NSWC Crane to establish an active NSWC Crane and Department of the Navy (DoN) local presence
Working with NSWC Crane leadership and local/regional leaders in academia, business and government to develop overall program goals and objectives that are shared by all
Developing the Innovation Ecosystem that will be critical to facilitating collaboration
Integrating organizations into the Innovation Ecosystem by matching services that leverage capabilities and expertise of the Navy to each partner
Will work to maximize technology transition and transfer opportunities by identifying and attracting innovators and non-traditional industry partners
Planning and coordinating collaboration activities
Will provide information on DoN priorities and programs, highlight success stories, clarify programs for proposal processes and to provide information on other assistance from Federal, State and regional organizations
Engage in regional outreach to Small Business Concerns (SBCs) as well as expand outreach to underrepresented states in the region coordinating with economic development sites and other locations using webinars, Video Teleconference (VTC) and other capabilities
Assisting with the logistics and coordination for conducting events
Will work to identify small technical business/non-traditional businesses in the area that can be contacted about the Navy's program and opportunities they may be interested in through community outreach to businesses, professional organizations and universities
Requirements A BA/S is required in addition to at least five to eight (5 to 8) years of professional experience in a similar role
Prior experience supporting NSCW Crane is highly sought
Must have experience developing programs, establishing objectives and identifying resources to build new programs
Must be skilled at public speaking and explaining technical information to individuals with various levels of knowledge
Must be experienced and passionate about team building and promoting the Tech Bridge program to businesses, organizations and universities, among others
There may be some travel involved with this position, however the full scope of travel has not been defined yet
Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team under deadlines and with minimal supervision
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level, however candidates with an active Secret clearance are highly encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
