Teamsters Clerk III (Judgements And Commitment)

Dauphin County Clerk of Courts Office is currently accepting applications for the full-time, day shift position of Teamsters Clerk III (Judgment & Commitment Clerk). An employee in this position issues judgments for defendants where case balances exceed $1000 and related work including but not limited to associating the criminal docket with the civil docket and docketing returned mail. He/she prepares and certifies copies of court commitments (short and long); attaches criminal complaints and/or prescribed documents, and dispatches same to respective correctional institutions and county probation. The incumbent examines incoming documents for completeness and canonical form; ensures timely delivery of files and legal documents to prescribed recipients (i.e. the Court, Prothonotary's office, court administration, appellate courts and other agencies of the criminal justice system); works with minimal supervision; and reports to the Deputy Clerk of Courts.

Starting salary: $15.86/hour.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements

Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalency program; clerical and computer experience required; legal experience or training preferred. Favorable criminal background check required.
