Teamsters Clerk II

Rate $ 15.00 per hour

Dauphin County Register of Wills/Clerk of Orphans' Court is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Teamsters Clerk II. The objective of the employee in this role is to provide routine clerical support work involving customer service dealing directly with the public in the Register of Wills & Clerk of the Orphans' Court offices. The employee in this role is responsible for but not limited to performing the following essential functions: reviews, routes and/or dispatches standard legal documents reporting any discrepancies to the Register or Deputies; assists the public in preparation of documents for filing and remits fees associated with office filing; explains prescribed procedures to marriage candidates as necessary, takes marriage license applications and issues receipts; the incumbent enters into the computer terminal probate information, and reports to the Register of Wills or Deputies, as the former directs; aids the public in their genealogical research and performs general office tasks as necessary; and performs all other duties as required. This is a union position.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:

• Graduation from high school or an accredited equivalency program.

• Attainment and maintenance of verified typing speed: 50 wpm.

• Previous experience in an office setting preferred.
