The Linen Service Team Member assumes responsibility and accountability for performing a variety of duties pertaining to the production and processing of clean linen and any universal task as assigned in accordance with established departmental policies.
Routinely demonstrate a strong commitment to Reid's behavioral standards by serving as a role model to others. Feeds damp flatwork or articles into ironer.
Folds ironed flatwork and articles fluffdried in tumbler. May transport clean linen to and from a designated area inside the department or out. Places clean linen in carts for distribution to proper departments inside the hospital.
Stacks and arranges linen onto flow rack. Assists and rotates with other workers in the department to maintain work flow. Checks for holes, lint, hair, and any foreign objects that could cause Surgery linen to become contaminated. Assists in operating washroom machinery to include dryer and lint filters as necessary to maintain appropriate work flow.
Must be customer service focused with demonstrated experience in good customer relations and customer service. Must be capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Capable of working cooperatively with team members and willing to act as a resource to co-workers. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Must be a self-starter able to work, productively, while working independently. Must possess a high degree of conscientiousness and be capable of exercising good judgment while making independent decisions. Demonstrates competency in the skills detailed in the areas of responsibility of this job description. No physical limitations in ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, push, pull, etc. multiple loads of 50 lbs or more.
Day Shift. 40 hours weekly. 3:00a-11:00a rotating weekends.
