Production: Are you goal oriented and do you love to be challenged?

If so, we want you to work with us. Our Production Associates support the Goodwill Mission by pricing the donations that are then sold on the sales floor. They are challenged to achieve their pricing goals and strategically price donations according to our pricing guidelines and to maximize the amount of money that goes to our mission.

In our production area you never know what you may come across! It's like Christmas every day!

Donation Attendant: Do you love a fast paced work environment and working with a fun team?

If so, we want you to work with us!

Our Donation Attendants support the Goodwill Mission by greeting and thanking donors while carefully accepting their donations. They help keep the production area organized by sorting donations as they come in.

Sales Floor Associates: If you love building relationships with customers and helping them with their hunt for the perfect thing, we want you to work with us!

Our Sales Floor Associates support the mission by organizing our sales floor and making it easy for customers to find what they're looking for. They also are ambassadors for Goodwill and answer questions that customers may have about Goodwill or our donations.

Cashier: Do you have a passion for customer service and enjoy working with a fun team?

If so, we want you to work with us!

Our cashiers support the Goodwill mission by building relationships with customers. accurately ringing up sales transactions and letting our customers know they helped someone get a job.

Requirements

  • One year of retail or production is preferred.

  • Must be able to stand, bend and reach for the duration of your shift.

  • Donation Attendants must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.

SHIFT: 3rd Shift: Sun, 7:40 pm - 6:10 am; Mon - Thu, 10:10 pm - 6:10 am SUMMARY: Perform set up and operate manual / automated operations to manufacture multi-layered steel gaskets. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform manual eyelet operations. * Setup and perform manual assembly operations. * Set up and operate mechanical and hydraulic presses. * Setup and operate Laser Welder. * Set up and operate shrink wrap machine. * Operate race track and/or semi-automatic assembly system. * Perform inspect and package operations. * Complete daily required production paperwork: tally sheet, quality sheet, move ticket, and production sheet. * Identify process, material, and equipment problems. * Move parts, dies and tools by hand or using a hand truck/powered truck. * Understand quality criteria for parts produced. * First article and/or final audit certification. * Performs Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) as assigned. * Follows the Quality Management System requirements as outlined in the process notes on the press card, the applicable QMS procedures and work instructions; and suggests ways for continual improvement. * Promptly reports quality problems and shuts down the equipment if unable to resolve. * Maintains a clean and orderly work area, conducts 5S. * Follows EHS rules and regulations, participates in safety meetings and CBT, and suggests ways for continual improvement. * Promptly reports personal injuries and unsafe conditions and helps to resolve them. * Understand FMPS and lean manufacturing concepts and the importance of the line status boards. * Willing and able to cross train in other departments within the Value Stream * Perform related duties and assignments that are consistent with knowledge and training. Required Skills COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: * Setup and operate the various equipment to include: mechanical/hydraulic presses, laser welder, shrink wrap, race track and semi-automatic assembly system. * Understand operation and function of all the machines in the LVMLS cell. * Understand quality criteria for parts produced. * Complete daily required production paperwork: tally sheet, quality sheet, move ticket, and production sheet. * Identify process, material, and equipment problems. * Move parts by hand or hand operated truck/power truck. * Perform inspect and package operations * Ability to read and understand press cards, procedures, work instructions, safety rules and warning signs. * Ability to read and write well enough to perform simple arithmetic calculations. * Interpersonal skills necessary to exchange information with a variety of employees. * First article and/or final audit certification. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to forty pounds on a daily basis. * Ability to walk and stand for extended periods. * Ability to reach and grab with arms and hands. * Possess the manual dexterity to operate machines with precision. * Normal or corrected vision necessary to read directions and closely examine parts; and to distinguish colors. * Normal hearing in order to detect equipment and motor malfunctions. * Ability to pull, lift, and transport gaskets and tooling within the facility. WORKING CONDITIONS: * Works in areas that can be uncomfortable due to noise, odors, and temperature extremes. * Works regularly with machines where carelessness could result in serious injury and cuts, bruises, or muscle pulls.
