Summary
The Team Member Relations (TMR) Specialist I is an integral member of the People & Culture department whose primary responsibility is to serve as the point of contact for general employment-related questions from site managers and team members. This individual provides excellent customer service to our internal customers by facilitating our speak up culture, effectively and promptly answering questions, finding solutions, generating and documenting correspondence, and/or assigning inquiries to the appropriate P&C / TA colleague.
The TMR Specialist I receives, tracks, documents, and properly responds to entry and mid-level HR-related inquiries. The TMR Specialist I identifies and promptly assigns more sensitive or complex TMR matters requiring investigation to their partner TMR Specialist II. The TMR Specialist I assists in TMR Specialist II's investigatory process by tracking and reporting on the general status of investigations jointly with their TMR Specialist II partner. Ensures that all responses and resolutions are administered in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and TA policy.
Duties and Responsibilities
Receives, tracks, documents and responds to incoming inquiries from site management and team members
Responds and resolves incoming contacts or assigns based on nature of question/concern to applicable P&C partner
Reviews appropriate team member relation inquiries / incidents to decide whether a problem exists. Utilizes effective problem solving and analytical skills to interpret policy and provide applicable responses. Sees inquiries through to resolution / closure. Communicates and documents outcomes
Provides recommendations to field managers related to interpretation of operational policies and/or practices
Recommends discipline and/or discharge when reviewing policy and performance related matters.
Creates and maintains a tracker of incoming TMR inquiries, etc. for the entire assigned region. Provides periodic reporting metrics to TMR and field leadership
Monitors for trends in questions/concerns. Provides advice and training to site leaders regarding compliance with more introductory federal, state, and local regulations. Partners with TMR Specialist II to answer or assign more complicated inquiries.
Assists less experienced managers with entry and mid-level team member relations issues
Ensures field compliance with basic P&C policies and procedures
Identifies training / skill deficiencies of field management in order to recommend or create various types of training. Participates in the creation or delivery of training if appropriate.
Partners with HRIS / Onboarding teams to process certain employment record updates.
Creates and run reports from HRIS system to monitor data and accuracy as needed
Provides general support to TMR team through ad hoc projects or administrative tasks
Utilize MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power Point software to create letters, memos, labels and reports for various projects
Attend classes/seminars to keep current with legislation and best practices in HR
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources or related field preferred
1+ years Human Resource experience preferred
Strong verbal/written communication abilities, interpersonal skills and a strong attention to detail
Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, required
Critical thinking skills to interpret information and effectively recommend actions
Ability to manage multiple complex assignments
Detail oriented with problem solving skills
Able to successfully manage multiple concurrent tasks to meet deliverables as well as routinely prioritize among major initiatives and operational tasks
Pro-active and able to work independently
Able to work collaboratively across departments.
Able to maintain confidential employee data
Demonstrated ability to work in high-volume, fast paced environment
