VIEW JOBS 10/8/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-06T00:00 Description The Part-time Western Heritage Museum Assistant shall be responsible to the Executive Director of the Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame. Duties and responsibilities shall be, but not limited to, the following: 1) Coordinates the clerical and administrative support functions for the Museum including, daily deposits, office maintenance and organizing files; 2) Works with the Junior College to monitor and update building inventory, time, budget, payroll, and accounting records; 3) Monitors expenditures and performs simple analysis on accounts; 4) Prepares and organizes purchase orders, requisitions and credit card statement; 5) Maintains and organizes files related to the Museum budget; 6) Oversees the point of sale system and membership database; 7) Maintains and shares a master events schedule with Museum and Junior College staff; 8) Schedules facility rentals; administers the staffing, set-up, and tear-down for events; coordinates with customers, campus catering, and campus maintenance to ensure the needs of the customer are met; maintains accurate documentation and records for customer billing; oversees events or schedules a responsible staff member to manage the event; 9) Performs other duties as assigned or required; and, 10) Nothing contained herein shall limit the President in assigning the employee to any of the various college activities for which he/she would be qualified in order to meet the needs of New Mexico Junior College. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Three years' experience in office management. Knowledge of standard office practices, policies and procedures. Knowledge of customer relations principles and techniques and of proper office etiquette. Skill in basic bookkeeping practices and procedures. Skill in organization and time management skills.
