Description: Team leader is responsible to serve as a liaison between the administration and teachers on the grade level/department.
The team leader will chair grade level/department meetings. The duties include membership on the school data team with possible representation on the district data team. Other duties include the handling of learning resources acquisition and distribution, advocacy for materials and needs of the grade level, and working with other team leaders vertically in the promotion and retention process.
Communication is a key function of the position. The team leader assists teachers new to the grade level by sharing expectations, communicating building practices, and supporting the development of the teacher about the nuances of the grade level throughout the year are important aspects of the work. Strong involvement in SRBI at grade level is required. Team Leader must maintain update meeting minutes and agendas on Google Docs.
Leading the grade level team through communication, follow through, and planning all aspects of the teaching and learning process are major responsibilities of this position.
Five years of teaching experience and an interest in leading.
