Summary:

Maintains a safe, clean workspace environment by performing maintenance to the interior/exterior of the hospital's buildings and repairs equipment in a timely and cost effective manner. Provide supervision of Zone Mechanics and subcontractors assigned to assist with building maintenance.

Responsibilities:

1.Directs team members to complete work orders and repairs in a timely and efficient manner. 20%
2.Maintains a safe and clean environment by performing inspections of the Hospital buildings. 20%
3.Determines appropriate action with building service requests by; assessing situation, completing needed repairs, or by placing work order for appropriate trade, i.e. electrical, to complete necessary work. 20%
4.Performs skilled maintenance to the interior of the hospital's buildings and repairs all broken equipment in a timely and cost effective manner. 10%
5.Completes all types of maintenance and repairs, i.e. painting, sheet-rock, ceiling, flooring, roofing, door/hardware and casework repairs and installations. 10%
6.Schedules, plans, implements and supervises special projects and subcontractors as needed. 10%
7.Completes service request on schedule, utilizing the facility priority system. Completes all required paperwork and informs customers of service request status. 10%
8.Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
9.Performs other duties as assigned.

Other information:

Education: High school graduate or GED.

Required: Must have working knowledge of methods, materials, tools used in crafts to which they are assigned, must have 3-5 years experience in carpentry. Past experience in a hospital environment a plus.
