Under the direction of the Assistant Store Manager, Sales you lead your team to meet daily sales goals - and exceed customer expectations. With a constant eye on the sales floor, you adjust staffing as needed to be sure every customer gets personal attention. You're a mentor. You coach and develop creative ways to encourage your team to meet sales goals and turn out a top-notch performance every day. You provide productive feedback and thoughtful guidance to Sales Associates, grooming them for advancement on the sales team.

Leadership

  • Lead designated functional team and manage associate workload as determined in partnership with the Assistant Store Manager.

  • Coach Department Specialists and associates on exceptional performance and maintain a strong visible presence in the department/work area.

Job Knowledge

  • Partner with the Assistant Store Manager to train and develop associates on product knowledge, selling, customer service, operations, visual, policies and procedures, as applicable.

  • Maintain an understanding of new store initiatives and communicate changes to the Department Specialists and associates, ensuring adoption throughout the store, into steady state.

Results Oriented

  • Focus on promoting and driving sales, maintaining an awareness of current product in store and not in store.

  • Review KPI results, working with Assistant Store Managers to identify opportunities and corrective actions.

Communication/Teamwork

  • Communicate regularly with the applicable functional Assistant Store Manager to review business results, execution of plans/strategies, customer feedback and associate performance.

  • Ensure all customers are provided gracious, quick and efficient service through setting expectations and modeling behaviors.

Required Skills

What you'll bring:

  • Your sense of personal style with a discerning eye and passion for design and home furnishings

  • 1+ years customer service or retail experience, 2+ years customer service or retail leadership experience preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent

IDS International is seeking a Team Leader to support the UN Somalia Third Party Monitoring contract. The purpose of TPM is to provide regular and independent analysis and assessments to support effective oversight of the Joint Police Program (JPP) by the Executive Board. TPM services are expected to provide an independent perspective and assessment of activities, which will be done through the development of a standard quantitative and qualitative methodology that, notwithstanding qualitative advice, allows for a systematic and historical objective fact-based contextual analysis. This position is contingent upon award. Required Qualifications: * Master's degree with a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in team management and delivery of large contracts. * Demonstrated capacity to provide overall supervision, coordination, quality control and act as the TPM focal point. * Fluency in English and excellent writing skills are essential. * Proven capacity to use the relevant technology and software (Word, Excel, ODK, etc.). * Experience in monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, and reporting of security sector activities on behalf of multilateral and bilateral organizations and NGOs in Somalia. * Efficient and timely communication and reporting skills. Computer Skills: * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint). Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
