Team Lead

Leads and performs a full range of varied sorting, inspection- or production-related tasks as well as administrative duties or any other task in furtherance of the work or goals of Stratosphere Quality and its customers.

Sorting and inspection work can include visual inspection, touch point inspection, or use of measuring equipment to determine conformity of a part. Rework projects eliminate known defects with a part, includes work such as deburring or replacing a component part.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Serves as interim acting job leader when project supervisor is unavailable

  • Inspects parts

  • Leads work of other team members

  • Ensures all team members arrive to job area on time

  • Ensures all team members have proper equipment, tools and gauges; verifies that equipment is signed out

  • Communicates with customer/job site contacts as needed on job requirements

  • Verifies team member's compliance with procedures, policies and job site specific regulations

  • Completes required paperwork as needed for duration and completion of a project

With a wide variety of client projects, Team Leads gain experience with many facets of the manufacturing process for many different types of products, parts and components


Adaptability and dependability are crucial to being successful as a Team Lead

Qualified candidates will possess a valid state issued driver's license as well as meet driving eligibility requirements as well as the ability to:

  • Effectively use computer programs such as Excel and Outlook on a daily basis

  • Travel on day and overnight trips if necessary

  • Work flexible hours based on project and business demands

  • Meet the following Physical Requirements:Lift a minimum of 25 lbs on a repetitive basis for up to 12 hours; Stand for up to 12 hours

Team Lead Qualifications:

  • A history of being dependable, and reliable

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Basic math, reading, and reading comprehension skills

As a quality assurance specialist, you'll have a key role on our team to develop, establish, implement, and maintain the quality program for a new and exciting project, including applicable certifications and ratings, such as AS9100D and CMMI. You will participate broadly in establishing the goals of the program and apply interpersonal expertise to effective communication with technical and management personnel at all levels of the organization. You will provide quality assurance oversight and participate in planning, execution, and follow-up activities relating to audits, such as AS9100D, leverage technical delivery experience with hardware development, including prototyping and fabrication, associated processes, and environments to assist with assessment and mitigation of project risk at start-up and throughout the project life cycle. You will develop and deliver training to disseminate required knowledge among the quality team and provide inputs during reviews of process documentation and support similar tasks towards achieving the goals of the quality program. You Have: * 5+ years of experience with quality assurance * Experience with delivering or providing quality support for engineering and science solutions as a technical project member, technical and quality lead, or project manager, where fabrication or prototyping took place in a technical facility or controlled laboratory environment * Knowledge of risk assessment to support technical project delivery * Knowledge of US government contract technical products and services * Ability to support and conduct AS9100D audits * Ability to obtain a security clearance * HS diploma or GED Nice If You Have: * Experience with models and standards, including CMMI * Experience with creating new processes and process modeling tools, including Visio or similar * Experience with providing proposal support, primarily for required quality topics * Experience with providing training support for quality processes and implementation * Experience with quality standards and processes with computer-controlled equipment * Experience with receiving inspection and dimensional inspection * Experience with the control of inspection, measuring, and test equipment for calibration, electrostatic sensitive devices (ESD), and limited life items, including shelf life * Active Secret clearance * BA or BS degree * Completion of the AS9100 Rev D Lead Auditor course Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
