The Team Leader has leadership responsibilities and is accountable for the actions of the project managers and project support associates. They work closely with the project management team to ensure timely delivery of clinical supplies projects. They establish and implement appropriate processes to support productivity enhancements. While team leaders will not have day-to-day project management accountability for a project (s), they will have portfolio oversight of their team's client base to ensure client expectations are being met and the business is delivering consistently across clients.

  • Demonstrates mastery in managing the delivery of all technical and service aspects of projects and studies for clients by providing a high level of consultative support to proactively identify and execute the best solutions.

  • Demonstrates mastery on all label construction attributes and uses and recommends solutions with the goal of exceeding customer expectations but keeping in mind internal capabilities.

  • Initiates the involvement of appropriate departments, maintaining continuous communication with those departments, and ensures the work delivered to customers is of a consistently high standard.

  • Trains and mentors team members to foster best practices; assists in removing obstacles for peers and department to ensure jobs are completed to the highest standards.

  • Recommends and leads training sessions to shares new concepts and processes in clinical trials and Fisher Clinical Service product lines which impact labeling solutions and recommends process improvements.

  • Role Model Leader for the FCS Labeling business with both internal and external stakeholders by promoting a positive corporate reputation, actively engaging in initiatives to improve and/or grow the business, and maintaining composure in difficult and challenging situations.

  • Demonstrates mastery in evaluating and determining complex study requirements of the clinical study.

  • Oversees the management of all team label timelines proactively escalating issues and proposing solutions to avoid timeline misses, along with support towards developing and maintaining intercompany project plans.

  • Works with other team leaders to ensure processes and procedures are developed and followed and there is consistency between programs.

  • Effectively supports management of all ATLAS and TMS clients, including working knowledge of overall process and reviewing of all client provided text for Translations services and/or client placed ATLAS orders.

  • Initiates and leads, if required, the involvement of appropriate departments, maintaining continuous communication with those departments, and ensures the work delivered to customers is of a consistently high standard.

  • Organizes and leads client onboarding partnering with appropriate internal departments and leadership to ensure business and customer needs are effectively communicated and executed.

  • Executes all activities per cGMP requirements and established Standard Operating Procedures required by company Quality standards.

  • Provides information and recommendations to Quality Assurance/Regulatory personnel and to drive Problem Reports to closure including completion of documentation for investigations

  • Requires knowledge of all internal systems associated with projects (i.e. DPS, Label Spec and Client Spec Applications, Randomization Parameters ,Trackwise).

  • Proactively partners with the account manager to gain overall customer satisfaction and proactively identifies future business development opportunities.

  • Demonstrates, advocates and promotes the company vision.

  • Administers the Performance Management Development process for team members including mid- year and year-end performance discussions on time per company guidelines

  • Develops standards for employee and department performance in partnership with the Sr. Manager, Client Services.

  • Holds staff accountable for their ongoing performance, acknowledges exemplary behaviors and implements progressive discipline, if necessary.

  • Monitors and tracks training requirements of all direct reports utilizing corporate training database (iComply).

  • Conducts regular team meetings to assess the status of studies, identifies necessary resources, and proactively addresses issues..

  • Strong conflict management and problem resolution skills under pressure with ability to leverage multiple strategies to satisfactorily resolve issues through (taking lead on resolving the issue, driving communication, influencing, constituents, actively listening etc.)

  • Frequently able to anticipate difficult situations and proactively plan interventions to help the team or customer to avoid or minimize such stressors.

  • Demonstrates business maturity and able to articulate messages appropriately and tactfully regardless of circumstances or audience.

  • Ability to leverage experience to develop innovative solutions to address tough, complex situations with both internal and external clients

  • Proactively seeks to understand and respond to customer needs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • College Degree, preferably in a health related field. Advanced degree in a health related field preferred.

  • 2-4 years of progressive clinical trial project management experience or related experience

  • Demonstrated track record of leading teams and major project implementations

  • Expertise in personal computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).

  • Mastery customer experience in a dynamic environment

  • Excellent organizational, planning, verbal, written and numerical skills with the ability to analyze and define solutions and manage multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines.

  • Requires mastery in knowledge of all internal systems associated with projects (i.e. DPS, Label Spec and Client Spec Applications, Randomization Parameters Trackwise).

  • 5-10% Travel, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Past experience leading or managing teams

  • Experience using project planning tools e.g. Microsoft Project to communicate milestones and critical path activities and responsibilities
