Raytheon Missile Systems, at the Large Scale Integration Center (LSIC) located in Louisville, KY has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a dynamic individual who has the ability to multi task with focus and accuracy. This position can be a Team Leader II Manufacturing or a Manager I Manufacturing depending on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Job Description:

This position will be responsible for assigning the daily work to an identified group of production workers. The selected individual will ensure full communication of assignments, company information and will be the focal point for answering questions and providing guidance. Responsibilities will include: Providing coaching and development (to Bargaining Unit, non-exempt and salaried employees). Resolving employee issues as well as production concerns. Continuous improvement in all production areas. Will perform accident investigations and participate in solutions. Will manage the team priorities. Provides time approval and correction when issues occur. Will focus on maintaining the area TAKT time. Provide assessments of resource requirements. Oversee the production process in assigned areas. Will facilitate the Tier I meetings. Will oversee the maintenance of tool, sling and chemical cabinet records. Will remain focused on employee safety and quality of work product. Will work closely with Planners, Factory Supervisors/Managers, Engineering and Quality organizations as well as with the customer. Will provide briefings to the team and leadership as required.

This position may be assigned to work 1st or 3rd shift depending on business need.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of office products (Word, Excel, Power Point)

  • Prior supervisor and/or leadership experience

  • Ability to obtain and retain a Confidential level security clearance

  • Minimum of 4 years related experience for Team Leader II or 6 years related experience for Manager I Manufacturing

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment independently and in a team

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with PRISM (SAP) programs

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Six Sigma experience

  • Process improvement experience

  • Prior experience establishing and maintaining a safe work environment

  • Experience with quality improvement

  • Phalanx system knowledge (technical)

Required Education:

  • Bachelors degree

  • Equivalent applicable experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

The Louisville Service Center has an opening for a Working Manufacturing Group Lead position that is responsible for the productivity of the wheel line, quality of the product, safety, and training of personnel working within the production line. Primary Responsibilities: * Performs disassembly, blasting, cleaning, inspection, and assembly of aircraft components according to customer's specifications, airworthiness directives, applicable manufacturers CMM guidelines, Carbon Overhaul Manual (COM), and UTC Aerospace Systems operating procedure. * Develops and communicates daily production schedule status with service center staff; coordinates with the front office, materials management, and quality to ensure productivity targets are reached * Directs activities related to daily production and is responsible for production input and output * Analyzes production to identify and eliminate bottlenecks and production problems * Drives efforts to meet on-time delivery requirements of the customers * Monitors and reports metrics to determine the efficiency of service center processes * Initiates continuous improvement projects to improve efficiency and/or to evaluate new equipment or methods * Manages allocation of production personnel based on daily output goals * Ensure preventative maintenance of all shop equipment * Ensures that all processes are performed in accordance with regulatory and Company procedures * Ensures that all units are processed in accordance with customer requirements * Responsible for maintaining quality standards set by the business in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Specialist * Provides training and guidance to Component Technicians relative to non-destructive inspection (NDI) related duties; provides on-the-job training and ensures Component Technicians are qualified and competent to perform assigned duties * Orients new employees to continuous improvement, shop equipment, procedures, safety, and customer requirements * Ensures proper processing and tracking of customer product * Ensures that all company EH&S procedures and compliance requirements are followed at all times * Investigates accidents and initiates corrective action * Demonstrate proficient utilization of continuous improvement tools (root cause analysis, process certification, standard work, 5S, cause and effect analysis, value stream mapping, etc.) to improve production processes and correct deficiencies as they occur * Identifies ways to eliminate safety hazards and improve the overall safety of the workplace * Provides supervision to employees * Writes performance reviews * Performs all other duties as assigned * This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines.
