Raytheon Missile Systems, at the Large Scale Integration Center (LSIC) located in Louisville, KY has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a dynamic individual who has the ability to multi task with focus and accuracy. This position can be a Team Leader II Manufacturing or a Manager I Manufacturing depending on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Job Description:

This position will be responsible for assigning the daily work to an identified group of production workers. The selected individual will ensure full communication of assignments, company information and will be the focal point for answering questions and providing guidance. Responsibilities will include: Providing coaching and development (to Bargaining Unit, non-exempt and salaried employees). Resolving employee issues as well as production concerns. Continuous improvement in all production areas. Will perform accident investigations and participate in solutions. Will manage the team priorities. Provides time approval and correction when issues occur. Will focus on maintaining the area TAKT time. Provide assessments of resource requirements. Oversee the production process in assigned areas. Will facilitate the Tier I meetings. Will oversee the maintenance of tool, sling and chemical cabinet records. Will remain focused on employee safety and quality of work product. Will work closely with Planners, Factory Supervisors/Managers, Engineering and Quality organizations as well as with the customer. Will provide briefings to the team and leadership as required.

This position may be assigned to work 1st or 3rd shift depending on business need.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of office products (Word, Excel, Power Point)

  • Prior supervisor and/or leadership experience

  • Ability to obtain and retain a Confidential level security clearance

  • Minimum of 4 years related experience for Team Leader II or 6 years related experience for Manager I Manufacturing

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment independently and in a team

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with PRISM (SAP) programs

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Six Sigma experience

  • Process improvement experience

  • Prior experience establishing and maintaining a safe work environment

  • Experience with quality improvement

  • Phalanx system knowledge (technical)

Required Education:

  • Bachelors degree

  • Equivalent applicable experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
