$20.98/hour; 40 hours/week

• High school diploma or GED supplemented by five (5) years of experience in heavy equipment operation, water/sewer/stormwater system maintenance, and/or utility construction/pipe laying

• Collections Certification level "D" or ability to obtain one within one (1) year from initial date of employment

• Valid South Carolina driver's license

The Team Leader provides crew leadership and participates in the skilled inspection, cleaning, maintenance, testing and repair of the City's water/sewer/stormwater systems using heavy equipment (backhoe, dump truck, vactor truck, etc.) and other specialized tools and equipment (CCTV, smoke and dye testing, etc.) and performs other maintenance work as required. The Team Leader works within a general outline of work to be performed and develops work methods and sequences under general supervision.

The Team Leader may work independently or lead a team in daily activities. The Team Leader will lead a week-long spot on the on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend tasks. The Team Leader reports to the Supervisor - Collection Operations.
