DEPARTMENT: Warehouse 700

JOB TITLE: Team Leader (CAPTAIN)

REPORTS TO TITLE: Logistics Manager with the direction from Department Supervisor

SHIFT DAYS /HOURS: Monday through Friday (7:00 am to 3:30 pm)

STARTING PAY: $23.00 per hour on up depending on experience

The purpose of this position is to ensure timely processing and accuracy of all inbound and outbound shipments. This position includes managing a team of order selectors, receivers, and sample personnel.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

• Leading a team of up to 10 individuals

• Conducting daily standup meetings to communicate company goals, upcoming events and announcements.

• Maintaining a commitment to safety and time management.

• Encouraging current process adherence and the development of improved processes.

• Maintaining accurate inventories through cycle counts & inventory adjustments.

• Performing quarterly coaching sessions.

• Building departmental bench strength by encouraging operator level advancement and skills improvement.

• Possessing and above average attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Inspiring others to work efficiently and defuse conflict when required.

• Communicating effectively with various departments.

• Delegating responsibilities when required.

• Working independently with little supervision.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift 70 pounds on a regular basis.

• Stock finished goods material.

• Pull and palletize customer orders.

• Operate a forklift safely.

• Load and unload trucks.

• Work with sales & customer service to manage changing customer requests in real time.

• Use a computer to maintain accurate inventory within the Bonnell Intranet and utilize additional programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Prioritize daily workload, order demands and personnel assignments.

• Perform month end inventory counts and scrap counts then record results.

Required to Have:

• High School Diploma and/or GED.

• Strong interpersonal skills and basic math skills.

• Ability to work efficiently and effectively: self-motivated; self-starter.

• Must be able to pass company background check and drug screen.
