Position Information:

The Team Leader is responsible for the coordination of the departmental operations for services on an assigned inpatient unit and/or hospital program. Coordinates day-to-day operations including staff schedules and assignments workflow coordination of meetings and minutes First Examiner requirements and serving as the point person for any issues that arise during the shift. Provides clinical supervision to provisionally licensed staff or interns. Assists with onboarding and training. Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission values and management of patient-care services. Helps to drive system initiatives and process improvements. Provides comprehensive First Evaluations for patients requiring Involuntary Commitments including completion of appropriate legal documentation to ensure proper compliance in the involuntary commitment process. Conducts in person and tele assessments including conducting crisis risk/ clinical assessments diagnosing patients using DSM-5 ICD10-codes and determining disposition. Focuses on diagnostic and functional evaluations safety assessments patient engagement and or support system effectiveness. Assists with diagnostic clarification post-discharge treatment recommendation identification of treatment options high-risk behavior mitigation and prevention planning. Advises patients family and responsible medical providers as needed to improve quality and continuum of care. Participates in hospital and community initiatives that address mental health and substance use issues. Provides expertise in mental health and substance use issues to the multi-disciplinary team including in-service education and support. Maintains a working knowledge of relevant behavioral health medical legal issues that impact patients and the hospital system. Documents assessment dispositions interactions and conversations according to department guidelines and standards. Works independently and manage time efficiently. Demonstrates flexibility in accepting diverse work assignments handles stress associated with change and effectively manages conflict.

Experience Requirements:

2 Years Clinical

• Mental Health Or 2 Years Clinical

• Emergency Department Or 2 Years Clinical

• Substance Abuse/Addiction Required

Education Required:

Master's Degree Counseling Or Social Work Or Marriage and Family Therapy Required

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

Licensed Clinical Social Worker Or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Required

• And Certified Commitment Examiner Required

• And Certified Notary Required

• Within 1 Year of Hire And Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Preferred

Monday

• Friday, 8:00am

• 4:30pm, and one weekend per month
