The Team Lead, is responsible for the daily operations of either our receiving, replenishment, or pick, pack and shipping areas. This key position ensures quality, delivery, and inventory accuracy and requires a person to have effective communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment, and a willingness to model positive and professional work ethics. Success in this role is defined by providing a safe working environment, daily order execution, batch control, labor planning, productivity, process adherence, and training/development of your team. This is measured by ongoing improvements in driving safety, quality, delivery, inventory accuracy, and productivity.
Implement process improvements using 5S and Lean concepts to continuously improve safety, quality, productivity, and the work environment.
Conduct audits to ensure team members are following standardized operating procedures and adhering to safety standards. Maintain daily management boards; analyze issues and implement appropriate countermeasures.
Train team members in all aspects of operations.
Lead communication huddles with team members and complete daily reports.
Ensure safety compliance of work area and MHE.
Conduct reviews, track attendance, coach, and hold team members accountable to standards.
High School or equivalent.
1 year of leadership experience.
1 year of supply chain experience.
Experience with pallet riders and stock pickers.
Operate a forklift or other equipment to transport product within the operation.
Understanding of AS400/JDA, RF Scanners and Voice to Pick concepts.
Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Suite.
