The Planning and Production Control Lead will perform a variety business tasks in support of Raytheon Missiles & Defense Production programs. The candidate needs to be energetic, willing to learn, able to work independently and have the ability and desire to be a change agent. This individual will manage multiple people across multiple Value Streams in a fast paced environment. Effective management of assemblies and the associated tasks listed below are necessary in order to prevent a work stoppage or a slip in schedule, both of which would have a significant impact to the program's cost and schedule requirements. This position may also support the accurate and compliant management of processes and records related to Government Furnished Material (GFM).

This position also involves direct support of Stockroom activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around the explosive integration factory areas and other managed buildings. The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast paced deadline driven environment. The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in manufacturing leadership role.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production/customer requirements

  • Responsible to evaluate and status the assemblies that are in progress, material availability, and potential production problems

  • Process RFM's, STPR forms and PHR's from the program and the RFEI factory

  • Solve any potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed

  • Control and analysis of multiple and moderate complexity, Bills of Material in an MRP system

  • Confirm material supply demand and prepares necessary work orders based on shop load and inventory requirements

  • Schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders

  • Propose solutions to mitigate any work stoppage the factory teams may experience due to any slips in material supply

  • Interface with internal and external customers

  • Receipt and issue of Production hardware as well as managing inventory

  • Support program screening and disposition effort associated with contract close out

  • Coordinate and support inventory research

  • Support DCMA audits as needed

  • Manage and lead multiple Hourly Stockroom personnel

  • Approve timecards and manage hourly workforce attendance

  • Daily Factory Leadership interface and interactions

  • Cost / Quality / Schedule performance

  • Interface with other Value Stream Leaders across shifts

  • Prioritizes project issues and assist in the resolutions process to meet productivity, quality, and organizational goals and contractual delivery requirements

  • Provide the required resources (facilities, processes, equipment, training, etc.) to ensure all employees work in a safe working environment

  • Ensure compliance to all pertinent work instructions

  • Bargaining Unit Agreement & Compliance

  • Total Employee Engagement management

  • Security Compliance

  • Quality Compliance (ESD / FOE / Audit / Training / Certification)

  • Contingency Planning/Execution to schedule

  • Shift Change/OT Equalization Management

  • Daily coordination and facilitation

  • Overtime coordination and Management

  • Overtime Management System reporting (OTIS)

  • Team Facilitation

  • Maintaining/Reporting Production Control Stores Metrics

  • Managing and Storing Age Dated material and Hazardous Materials

  • Coordination of shipping completed product to appropriate destinations

  • Coordination of kitting of production inventory per MRP

  • Continually look for and implement process improvements

  • General Warehousing responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Critical thinking and data analysis skills to ensure detailed status provided to the Value Stream Manager and team

  • Ability to mentor and develop team members

  • Ability to contribute to the completion of organizational projects and goals

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various disciplines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Experience working with MS Office applications including, but not limited to Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to work some OT and odd hours

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field. Ten (10) years of experience in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment can be considered in lieu of degree completion

  • Four (4) years' experience/education of the application and concepts of Production and Planning Control fundamentals such as MRP; Inventory Management; Capacity Planning; Property Management; JIT Concepts; Master Production Scheduling and/or Delivery Administration

  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:

  • Leadership experience

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems

  • Experience with Government and Depot type processes

  • Proficient with MS Excel to include formula application and pivot tables

  • Experience reading and evaluating lists of parts required for production work and working with a production planning system

  • Demonstrated experience interfacing, collaborating, and communicating with all levels of an organization, as well as with a large external customer base, to accomplish tasks.

  • Active DOD Security Clearance
