The Team Lead, IT is responsible for leading the security practice within IT Enterprise and Mitel Cloud offerings and providing a recommended strategic security framework and security solutions that is tailored to meet the needs of Mitel.
This position is based in Austin, TX.
Interact with business managers to communicate security recommendations and solutions for Mitel Cloud Operations
Advise and solve Security issues involving the network and systems operations for Mitel Cloud and Enterprise.
Lead the Core IT Security team to develop and maintain the security program.
Provide coaching and mentoring for areas of expertise.
Assist teams with the development, maintenance and documentation of security procedures
Support and lead compliance initiatives that fall under the Core Security team.
Maintain compliance with various regulations and best practices
Analyze issues, facts and available information to develop logical solutions; researching inconsistencies found in data; drawing correct inferences from information and making recommendations that support business decisions
Ensure effective implementation of Vulnerability management program and security monitoring program and working with network and system engineers to participate in vulnerability identification and patching.
Participate in the Business Continuity plan maintenance
Good understanding of IDS/IPS and various methods to detect and prevent network attacks.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent experience
6+ years of relevant information security experience including dealing with IT security issues
2+ years leadership experience
Telecom experience highly desired
Experience in incident response
Access control systems experience (Linux and Windows)
Knowledge of datacenter operations and networking
Understanding of 3rd party cloud datacenter provider responsibilities and common agreements
Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools

Strong communication skills, excellent listening skills, and high degree of professional acumen
Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities with a commitment to continuous improvement
Thorough understanding of enterprise security architecture and design, network design concepts and fundamentals
Ability to analyze situations and incidents and determine the larger picture relevance
CISSP, CEH, GIAC, ISC2 or ISACA certifications recommended
