Team Lead - Evs/Housekeeping (Full Time)(Night Shift)

JOB SUMMARY

Supervise work activities of EVS personnel to ensure a clean, orderly, and attractive hospital. Assigns duties, inspects work, and answers calls as needed. Assists with new employee orientation and training. Reports to EVS Manager. Non-Exempt position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Polices and works as EVS Tech in all areas and positions as needed.

• Reports issues, events, and accomplishments to the EVS Manager at the end of shift.

• Conducts huddles and safety meetings for EVS staff at shift change as needed.

• Monitors the training of new employees, and assists with training where needed.

• Coordinates routine and project assignments for EVS staff.

• Monitors supply levels, and orders supplies as needed.

• Monitors and ensures accurate and timely completion of assigned duties (validates OR cleanliness, PI's, infection control swabs completed, and other areas are cleaned.

• Completes patient rounding.

• Rounds on staff in the outbuildings to ensure areas are cleaned appropriately and maintenance is kept up.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

High school diploma or GED required. Two year Associate Degree preferred.

2 years' housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting. Supervisory experience preferred.

Required Skills

Must possess ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.

Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service.

Must possess high degree of organization and be able to multi-task efficiently and effectively.

Basic computer knowledge required.

FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS

Functional Job Requirements:

Job requirements include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting and reaching. Requires good finger dexterity, repetitive motions with hands and fingers. Requires ability to have good vision and hearing. Pushing and pulling equipment may be necessary.
