JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Tile: Team Lead, Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Location: 1 Arthur Peck Drive, Westminster, MD 2115.

May work remote up to two (2) days per week.

Work hours: M-F, 40 hours per week.

Job duties: Working on assuring the quality throughout the process of developing supply of braking systems, passenger doors and climate-control equipment for all types of Mass Transit customers such as: METRO, Light Rail Vehicles, High-Speed Trains, Commuter Rail and Monorail Vehicles for the North America market; system design, including system calculations, system drawings, integration, testing, commissioning support, and technical support to other internal departments; reviewing/approving product design reviews and formal documentation throughout the project lifecycle and reporting in compliance with the design review management and action tracking system; defining the requirements and expectations to others (Electronic Engineers, Program Manager, Customer, End User, Purchasing, etc.); implementing bug tracking system JIRA for the defects observed during quality test; providing engineering project schedule input to project management for review and approve project priorities; reviewing and updating internal process or training materials for the department; reviewing customer and end user technical specifications and support proposal development; preparing, maintaining, and implementing Verification and Validation Plans for each project; auditing software development and design processes, compliance with software plans, and software testing; preparing and/or reviewing design documentation submitted to customers; reviewing or approving Verification and Validation Test Procedures and Reports; and revising and monitoring process with continuous improvement activities to boost long term business success and increase profits by reducing customer complaints.

Minimum requirements: BS in Mechanical Engineering and three years of experience as Mechanical, Quality, Test, or Validation Engineer (or related) OR MS in Mechanical Engineering and one year of experience.

In addition, must have: experience with use cases & test cases and preparation of defect reporting using defect software such as JIRA or Clearcase; experience with testing requirements tracking/traceability utilizing enterprise tools such as DOORS, Integrity and/or Fox; experience in Verification and Validation (V&V) testing/regression testing and writing of validation protocols and reports after execution; experience with Failure Mode Effective Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Non- Conformities Report (NCR) any deviations with necessary preventive actions that impact the performance and quality of product; knowledge of GMP, ISO, IEEE, and Quality Standard regulations; experience with Conduct Product and Process validation and qualification studies (IQ, OQ, PQ, PPQ), in accordance to a master validation plan/and risk-analysis system; experience with Inspection techniques and quality concepts such as control charts, Ishikawa diagrams, Histograms, check sheets, pareto analysis and scatter diagrams with strong solving and analytical ability; experience in executing validation and regression tests using Hardware-In-The-Loop (HIL) simulators and/or actual vehicle/equipment.
