Team Lead - Day Shift

Quanex is looking for a Team Lead to join our Day Shift team located in Bowling Green, KY.

Responsibilities: The Team Lead is the change agent within the department and as such must have the ability to cooperatively develop, communicate, implement, audit and enforce standard work at every operation within the department. Must understand, generate ideas and be able to implement continuous improvement and 5S principles. Team Leads must be the driving force for improvement within their department.

• Pay range is between $20- $25 per hour - your wage is based on your applicable leadership experience and work experience

• Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 6:00a

• 4:30p & Overtime (if needed) on Friday: 6:00a

What Success Looks Like:

• Be a key driver of the company's safety culture.

• Promotes the Lean Management System and the use of Leader Standard Work, Visual Controls Daily Accountability and Leadership Discipline.

• Performs continuous improvement tasks to address red hours reported on HR by HR boards

• Leads Tier 1 or 2 meetings and participates and provides

• Serves as the main contact in the absence of the Supervisor.

Your Credentials:

• Three to five years of progressive manufacturing experience.

• Three years of experience working within a leadership capacity.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, complex, dynamic business environment and with minimum supervision.

• Highly motivated and results oriented with outstanding problem-solving skills.
