The Concessions Area Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff at concessions stands and carts at Bojangles' Coliseum ensuring that all operations are carried out successfully.
Essential Job Duties
Follows standard inventory controls and procedures.
Ensures concession stand procedures are being met at assigned locations.
Ensures concession stand sheets are accurate and completed each event.
Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Provides customer service guidelines to event staff.
Work with all staff in a friendly and professional manner.
Train staff to provide high quality customer service.
Communicate via two-way radio.
Maintain professional attire, image and demeanor at all times.
Scope of Responsibility
Supervises concession stand and cart leads during events.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Ability to understand procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite; Food Service equipment; and Two-way radio.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of customer service experience.
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 40 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
