Position Summary

Responsible for developing and supporting Business Intelligence solutions as part of the Enterprise Business Intelligence team. Responsible for evaluating and developing performance review processes. Works in conjunction with management to define business objectives, develop KPIs to manage objective outcomes. Provides recommendations to senior management that leverage outcome of empirical data analysis. Oversee daily activities of Business Intelligence Analysts while coordinating tasks within other areas of the BI developers.

Duties

Information Design (60%)

  • Primarily responsible for the statistical modeling, metric definition and visualization that enables business leaders to make decisions throughout the organization.

  • Reports directly and works closely with the Director of Insights and Analytics to determine direction, goals, objectives and performance of business intelligence solutions.

  • Leads a team of Business Intelligence Analysts to develop and deliver a self-service interactive presentation platform utilizing a variety of technologies.

  • Ensures reports, dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) are accurate, high quality, intuitive to ensure utilization within the organization.

  • Works closely with senior management, other analyst, and key stakeholders across all other layers of management to gather requirements, design solutions, and align BI deliverables to meet organizational needs.

Leadership (40%)

  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert as well as a technical expert for IMS Personnel as it relates to systems, data, and reporting tools.

  • Identifies, analyzes, interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets and introduces policy recommendations based on complex data.

  • Participates in project planning to align project goals and timelines with available resources.

  • Develops training content, materials and educational curriculum for business stakeholders on analytical cubes, dashboards and analytical reporting.

  • Provides instruction on the effective use of IT tools used to gather information which supports the Customer analytical process.

  • Demonstrates and trains sales, operations and finance staff on basic analytical interpretation, standard report execution, and presentation preparation.

Technical (20%)

  • Perform basic/intermediate statistical analyses for projects and reports.

  • Defines requirements for data warehousing and analytical data structures.

  • Manages daily operations of automated BI systems and is accountable for report/dashboard design, development, and validation.

  • Responsible for being the technical lead to the technologies used to develop the presentation and distribution layer of BI solutions, examples of these technologies are listed below in the specific skills.

Education Degree

  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years relevant work experience required.

  • Ability to design, analyze, translate and present complex data into management information. (5+ years)

  • Experience in developing reports, dashboards, and data visualization techniques (5+ years)

  • Translating and documenting of business needs to technical requirements (5+ years)

  • Developing and implementing educational curriculum around reporting definitions and capabilities (2+ years)

  • Creates data validation review processes and test plans (2+ years)

  • Manages and best allocates BI Helpdesk requests to appropriate team members (2+ years)

Position Summary Works as a member of the BI team to develop tools and resources to support internal and external insight needs. This includes internal data structures for various cross functional partner use. Partners with Business Intelligence Analytics team to better understand needed data sets. Is also responsible for scripts to manage the distribution of standardized reports and ad-hoc report development. Duties Production Support (70%) * Processes multiple report distribution batch jobs by running automation applications via various distribution methods. * Provides level one support on all BI Help Desk requests, using discretion to determine the difficulty level, importance and prioritization of each request. * Develops ERP System Data (Oracle e-Business Suite, SQL server databases) to provide data structures to resolve Customer or business needs. * Consults with users to identify and establish reporting requirements and objectives. * Development (30%) * Responsible for the ETL flow development for data warehouses. * Develops programming routines for the maintenance and interfacing of data within the ERP system. * Designs, develops, codes, tests, debugs and documents database programming applications to satisfy requirements of multiple user areas. * Works with large complex datasets from a variety of sources including Oracle and SQL Server Databases. * Assists in the support and troubleshooting of Oracle Transactional Interfaces. * Works closely with users to train, educate, inform, and control usage of the reporting application. * Researches complex data-oriented problems to discover inconsistencies in data and cleanses data as needed. * Assists in technical consultation to business unit and I.T. management and staff. * Implements additions and modifications to the data warehouse data model. * Follows and supports overall policies and goals for the companies Information Technology, including maintaining established Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and other regulatory IT general controls over the production environment.
