Austin Industrial, Inc. is a leading General Contractor that provides construction, maintenance, turnaround,specialty, and plant services within the oil, gas, chemical, power, and manufacturing industries. We are currently seeking an experienced Team Lead. This position will be in charge of designated contracts, working closely with Operations and Project Controls. Each Lead will be responsible for project administration of their subset of contracts, acting as the main point of contact for field personnel. Team Leads will report directly to the Accounting Manager.
This position is based in the La Porte, TX corporate office.
Responsible for the management of all staff and project administrative activities. Will assist in hiring, transitioning, training, and evaluating personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for project administration, reporting, and contract management.
Assist with project setups in Viewpoint, working with the Project Controls team, as well as, on-site project setups and transitions.
Assist with establishing field administration education, skills training and succession planning.
Provide on-going field administration personnel training and support in relation to the execution of Austin and site-specific policy and procedures.
Develop understanding of contract documents and apply knowledge to create accurate job cost and billing summarizations and processes.
Communicate contract requirements and provide related training to field personnel on an on-going basis.
Manage field office work processes to ensure work is being completed timely and accurately.
Direct account receivable processes to ensure payments are received and applied promptly as well as accurately.
Perform scheduled internal contract compliance audits and report findings to management.
Participate in all accounting and administrative closeout procedures for terminated contracts.
Monitor reconciliation of all reconcilable transactions and direct customer correspondence as required.
Represent company and manage its interests in all customer contract audits.
Identify risks and establish mitigation plans for expiring maintenance contracts.
Provide project and customer system support as needed.
Complete special ad hoc projects and report findings to executive management.
Travel required (25%-50%).
Bachelor's degree in business administration, related business degree or equivalent combinations of training and experience.
6+ years of direct project administration experience including field payroll, accounts payable, billing and reporting.
Display the ability to take complex issues and develop workable solutions.
Excellent communication skills with good knowledge of construction terminology.
Ability to display good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and other automation tools.
