Sentara Leigh Hospital is currently hiring a Team Coordinator for Environmental Services (Housekeeping).

This is a full-time Evening Shift position. Hours are 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the manager in planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating and controlling the activities of the department functions which are necessary to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

  • Participate in the work activities of assigned teams through providing assistance, serving as technical resource and participating in the work as a member of the team.

  • Contributes to the success of the department through effective work coordination, management of resources, and participation in goal accomplishment.

  • Support and communicates Sentara mission, values, goals, and directions to assigned team members.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Grad or Equivalent; some College is preferred.

  • 2+ years supervisory experience Environmental Services (housekeeping) preferred.

  • Required: Communication, Reading Comprehension, Service Orientation, Speaking.

Other:

  • New employees are required to have CHEST within 2 years of hire.

Job Summary

The Environmental Services Team Coordinator assists the manager in planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating and controlling the activities of the department functions which are necessary to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Some College is preferred. 2+ years supervisory experience preferred. CHEST certification required for all existing staff by 7/31/2019. New employees hired after 8/1/2016 required to have CHEST within 2 years of hire.
