Compensation: Base Salary $63,000; WA $67,410; CA $69,300

Start Date: January 2024

Antioch University Graduate School of Counseling, Psychology, and Therapy invites applications for full time Teaching Faculty members to join our progressive team in our Counseling Division. The Division comprises MA CMHC programs (low residency, weekend hybrid, and residential) and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision program. All of the counseling programs are accredited through CACREP and encourage a multicultural counselor identity appreciating diversity and human growth in context to social dynamics while also advocating for community justice, equity, and civil discourse. In alignment with Antioch's mission, the Counseling programs at Antioch university are committed to experiential learning, social justice, extensive clinical training, scholarship, and the use of creative, progressive and applied approaches. Antioch University has been educating counselors for over 40 years and has a network of alumni throughout the country who serve as many of our field supervisors and employers. Faculty are expected to engage in pedagogy and practices that reflect the social justice mission of the university. The available positions will provide the opportunity for a faculty member to teach in both the MA and PhD programs, with the flexibility to provide both course and other student support coverage across programs.

The Teaching faculty position would be responsible for 24 semester credit hours of teaching and would only be responsible for student engagement and institutional citizenship.

Position Overview

The position has responsibilities that include:

  • Direct instruction of at least 24 semester credits per academic year

  • Engaging in student advising

  • Support of student research and clinical practice

  • Engaging in program, division, campus, and school/university citizenship

  • Engaging in ongoing division initiatives

Qualifications:

  • An earned doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution in Counselor Education and Supervision, CACREP/CACREP Aligned

  • State Licensed as a Mental Health Counselor, equivalent licensure, or national counseling credential

  • Approved Supervisor credential (preferred)

  • A reflective commitment to the training and supervision of multiculturally responsive and socially justice oriented counselors

  • Service to the counseling profession

  • Teaching at the graduate level both online and on the ground teaching formats

  • Interest in the development of social justice leaders and agents of community dialogue and change

  • Skilled in demonstration-based teaching (faculty need to teach using real/live demonstration) and experiential learning

  • Ability to be flexible and working in an environment of expansion and change
