Job Purpose/Description
Job Duties
Collaborate with course faculty to schedule necessary open lab times to meet program and student needs.
Engage with first year students to answer course content-related questions and assist in dissection.
Monitor the donor bodies, dissection equipment, and anatomical models used in the anatomy laboratory.
Minimum weekly check of each donor body ensuring each is sufficiently wrapped and hydrated. Notify instructors of concerns about poor preservation or decay.
Maintain an inventory of the dissection equipment (e.g. scalpel blades, gloves, masks, toweling, preservative spray) and anatomical models in the anatomy laboratory and inform the course director when supplies need to be replaced and expendable supplies need to be re-ordered.
Assist the course faculty in setting-up and taking-down practical and mock practical exams.
Assist in preparing specific anatomical and neuroanatomical prosections.
Perform routine lab cleaning to maintain lab cleanliness.
Assist course faculty in grading assignments, providing feedback on assignments as assigned.
Communicate with the Administrative Assistant and/or course faculty regarding supply inventory, open lab hour schedule and use, and any problems/concerns that may arise.
Complete timesheet as required and submit to the department Administrative Assistant.
Required Qualifications
Must be a current CSS Student
Must be a second-year CSS DPT student who is in good standing as determined by course faculty.
Preferred Qualifications
Federal work study eligibility is preferred
