The Division of Undergraduate Education anticipates hiring teaching assistants in the Math Center (mathcenter.ucmerced.edu) for Academic Year 2020-2021.

The Teaching Assistant (TA) will be responsible for designing and implementing a math lab pilot that integrates discipline-focused pedagogies and curricula with these and other educational practices that promote student success in lower-division mathematics courses. Responsibilities include creation, implementation and assessment of academic support activities enhancing undergraduate student understanding and application of mathematical concepts, supervision and pedagogical training of undergraduate instructional assistants, oversight of day-to-day lab activities and other duties in support of the center. The Math Center TA will be report to the lead instructor, attending regular meetings and providing updates to the Math Center leadership as needed.

Salary is based on an annual full-time salary of $43,823.00. TA's will not be appointed for more than 50% time during the Fall & Spring semesters.
