Teacher Assistants/Apprentices will assist K-6 Classroom Teachers at Classical Schools in implementing a Core Knowledge curriculum. Homeroom subjects will include Language Arts (Spalding or Riggs Phonics), Mathematics (Singapore), American/World History and Geography, Science, and Chess. Assistant teachers are vital to ensuring that each student is fully engaged in the rich curriculum at an academy. Further, assistant/apprentice teachers are provided with significant teaching opportunities and specific professional development activities designed to prepare these individuals for lead teaching in the future.

Requirements: Certification is not required to teach at any of the Great Hearts Academies. Lead Great Hearts teachers hold a bachelor's degree or higher, demonstrate both a love for the breadth of the liberal arts, and a depth of knowledge in the subject area(s) they teach. All candidates must be able to demonstrate they are qualified to teach the subjects they are assigned.

Qualifications: Education/Certification:
