Clarkson College is currently seeking a Teaching and Learning Technology Administrator. This position designs, coordinates, and administers all functions of emerging technologies, the College learning management system, and other academic platforms, to support students, employees, and faculty. This position focuses on student facing services including assisting with student platforms and learning for registration, advising, and orientation. Additionally, course design and services, along with on-campus and online spaces to support student, faculty, and employee learning are maintained.
The Teaching and Learning Technology Administrator also creates tutorials, handouts and other reference materials for faculty, staff, and students. Works with faculty and staff to integrate technology into their presentations, courses, scholarly activities, and other department projects. Provides students, faculty, and staff development opportunities for best practices in use of computer technologies to enhance teaching and learning to support quality experiences for Clarkson College employees and students. This position oversees programming for more than 200+ employees, 1,200+ students, 5,000+ community professional development consumers, 8,000 alumni, and collaborates with multiple internal and external constituents.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, computer science or a related field OR equivalent combination of education/experience combined required. One (1) year of education equals one year of experience.
Minimum three (3) years' experience in technology/computer services project management to include experience with state-of-the-art computer systems required.
Experience in administering learning management systems required.
Demonstrated effective project management, interpersonal and evaluative skills required.
Excellent communication and instructional skills required. Knowledge of computers, related peripherals, and office equipment (fax, phone, copier, etc.) required.
Previous use of learning management systems such as Canvas, knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or appropriate certification in the areas of education, instructional technology, computer science, online teaching and learning, or related field preferred.
Minimum three (3) years of teaching experience preferred.
Quality MattersTM Certification preferred.
Experience with Camtasia and Adobe products preferred.
