Requirements

  • Knowledge of Pennsylvania academic content standards
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum design and delivery, teaching and learning for individuals and groups
  • Skill in selecting and using appropriate instructional methods and materials when teaching new subjects
  • Ability to monitor and assess students performance to identify areas for improvements and to remediate when appropriate.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, parents, administrators and other members of the school.
  • Pennsylvania Certification K-6, Special Education (Instructional I or II) Bachelors and or Masters degree in Education preferred

Code § 18.524 (relating to criteria for licensure as behavior specialist) except the experience required under section 18.524(c).</p><p>(2) Have a certification as a BCaBA or other undergraduate-level certification</p><p>in behavior analysis that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute and a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education or related field from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university that has been</p><p>evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
