Position Title: Middle School Business Education Teacher
Reports to: Principal
Workdays: 190 Days
Position Summary: The Middle School Business Education Teacher Education is responsible for teaching practical concepts, strategies, and techniques associated with management and business principles, computer literacy, personal finance, accounting, computer programming, web page design, and coding within the Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) framework for grades 6-8.
Education:
Certification/License:
Valid state teaching certificate in Business Education (or willingness to obtain one).
Prior experience teaching middle school is preferred.

Curriculum Development & Delivery:
Ability to develop and deliver a dynamic curriculum on business topics relevant to middle school students (Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, Computer Literacy, Marketing & Advertising, Introduction to Business Principles)
Utilizing engaging and effective teaching methods (project-based learning, simulations, games, technology integration)
Staying current with industry trends and incorporating them into the curriculum
Assessing student progress through a variety of methods and providing meaningful feedback
Incorporates best practices in teaching to ensure effective knowledge delivery and student engagement.
Demonstrated success in implementing effective remediation strategies to support diverse learners.
Captivates students with engaging written and oral communication, connecting complex concepts to their reality.
Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment through outstanding interpersonal skills.
Maintains a positive and orderly learning environment that empowers students to thrive.
Knowledge of fundamental principles in the fields of management and business principles, computer literacy, personal finance, accounting, computer programming, web page design and coding and employability skill development.

Duties and Responsibilities
Curriculum & Instruction:
Design and deliver engaging lesson plans on foundational business concepts (Management, Computer Literacy, Personal Finance, Accounting)
Utilize diverse instructional methods to cater to all learners.
Develop and implement assessments to measure student progress.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment for collaboration and critical thinking.
Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
Stay up to date on industry trends and integrate them into the curriculum.
Assessment & Evaluation:
Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments.
Administer various assessments to monitor student comprehension.
Analyze data to improve instruction and student achievement.
Student Support & Development:
Assist students with career exploration in the business field.
Facilitate real-world experiences (guest speakers, job shadows)
Advise student organizations.
Enhance course content for remediation, modification, and enrichment.
Coordinate parent/teacher and student/teacher conferences.
Professionalism & Collaboration:
Attend professional development opportunities.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum and best practices.
Effectively communicate with students, parents, and stakeholders
Comply with mandatory reporting requirements.
Perform various administrative duties (attendance, organization)
