Decatur County Schools seeks a dedicated Band Teacher to lead our instrumental music program. The Band Teacher will inspire and guide students in developing their musical skills, fostering a love of music, and promoting performance excellence. This position offers a unique opportunity to impact students' lives meaningfully through music education.

Principal

WORK CALENDAR:

10 Months- (190 Days)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree

Hold or eligible to hold a professional certificate issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

Passing GACE requirements

Must be Professionally qualified under the Every Student Succeeds Act.

Knowledge of curriculum standards and instructional methods (Music theory, history, instrumental pedagogy, etc.)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Classroom management skills

Excellent organizational skills

Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for working with children

Previous teaching experience is a plus but not required for entry-level positions
