Qualifications:
Holds an Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher learning in a technology-related field.
Hold a current professional license, registration, or certification related to the technology field and issued from an accredited private or public postsecondary institution or college.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a secondary or post-secondary instructor of Mechatronics, Energy, or Engineering related pathway preferred.
Meets eligibility for a Georgia Clearance Certificate (successfully completes fingerprint and criminal background check).

Primary Job Goal:
To equip all students with the knowledge and skills needed for college and career readiness by delivering the designed state and local curriculum, aligning instructional practices with career applications, assessing student achievement; and, creating a learning environment that is safe and conducive to learning
Performance Duties & Responsibilities:
Demonstrates an understanding of the curriculum, subject content, pedagogical knowledge, and the needs of students by providing relevant learning experiences
Plans lessons using state and local school district curricula and standards, effective strategies, and data to address the differentiated needs of all students.
Promotes student learning by using research-based instructional strategies relevant to the content to engage students in active learning and to facilitate the student's acquisition of key knowledge and skills.
Challenges and supports each student's learning by providing appropriate content and developing skills that address individual learning differences.
Chooses a variety of diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment strategies and instruments that are valid and appropriate for the content and student population.
Gathers, analyzes, and uses relevant data to measure student progress, inform instructional content and delivery methods, and provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
Provides a well-managed, safe, and orderly environment conducive to learning and encourages respect for all.
Creates a student-centered, academic environment in which teaching and learning occur at high levels and students are self-directed learners.
Exhibits a commitment to professional ethics and the school's mission, participates in professional growth opportunities to support student learning, and contributes to the profession.
Communicates effectively with students, parents or guardians, district and school personnel, and other stakeholders in ways that enhance student learning.
Participates in staff development as the Troup County Board of Education, THINC College, and Career Academy and administrators may deem necessary.
Implements system/school professional learning practices as outlined in the School Improvement Plan.
Demonstrates mastery of specific CCA teaching expectations.
Performs other duties and complies with any reasonable job-related request as assigned by administrators

Daily attendance and punctuality are required to ensure the goals of the work unit are met.

Working Environment:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:
Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. Generally, the job requires 40% sitting, 60% walking, 20% lifting/carrying, and 60% standing.
