Holds a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
Holds a valid State of Georgia Teaching Certificate.
Meets all certification requirements including teaching area endorsements in the State of Georgia.

Primary Job Goal:
Support students in achieving academic and interpersonal proficiency by incorporating approved state and district curriculum. Track and record both teaching strategies and student advancements in academics and interpersonal relations.
Tailor educational approaches to meet individual student requirements. Foster a secure and conducive learning atmosphere. Offer constructive feedback to students, parents, and administration concerning progress, expectations, and objectives.
Performance Duties & Responsibilities:
Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
Responsible for the instructional delivery of the chorus curriculum.
Instructs all students in vocal techniques and ensures individual progress through personalized instruction.
Plans and presents concerts or programs to meet instructional needs and community expectations.
Selects repertoire that enhances students' musical technique, understanding, and appreciation.
Encourages and supports students in solo performances, ensemble participation, and audition preparation.
Prepares chorus groups for performances and evaluations, such as festivals and competitions.
Recruits new students to ensure the growth and sustainability of the chorus program.
Dedicates additional time beyond regular hours for rehearsals, performances, and meetings.
Manages administrative tasks including inventory, record-keeping, and communication.
Collaborates with administrators on additional responsibilities and performance expectations.
Plans and accompanies chorus trips and off-campus performances.
Represents the chorus at civic functions and community events.
Maintains professional communication with parents to keep them informed of chorus activities and student progress.
Adheres to standard teacher job expectations while focusing on chorus-specific duties.
Performs other duties as assigned by school administration, adapting as needed to support the school community.
Other Functions:
Daily attendance and punctuality are required to ensure the goals of the work unit are met.
Working Environment:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:
Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. Generally, the job requires 20% sitting, 75% walking, 10% lifting/carrying, and 80% standing.
