Salary: Annual salary range is commensurate with education and years of experience. Salary ranges $39,803.04 to $52, 832.45 (Bachelor's Degree) and $41,171.55 to $55,850.55 (Master's Degree). Employees are provided paid health, dental, life and retirement benefits as well as an option to participate in the State's tax-deferred annuity program.
Job Description
Basic Purpose
Position provides a proper education for deaf and hard-of-hearing students that come to OSD from all over the state. Position is responsible for providing learning experiences by utilizing school curriculum, IEP goals and objective and other appropriate materials and activities. Duties include preparing lesson plans, reports, and keeping records of student behavior and attitude needed to provide an orderly productive environment; ascertain learning needs of students and to establish evaluation techniques for assessment of progress, as well as participate in extracurricular activities.
Preference may be given to applicants with expressive and receptive sign language skills with fluency in American Sign Language.
