Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC) Schools is comprised of a non-profit network of public charter schools designed to significantly increase high school graduation rates, college entrance, and college graduation rates for underserved students in North-East Los Angeles, and the North-East San Fernando Valley.

The Team Member we are searching for
The ideal Teacher Residency Project Lead believes in and is passionate about the mission and commitments of PUC Schools and exhibits this through their leadership, reflection, execution of school culture, and collaboration to ensure student success.
What you'll need to accomplish:
In collaboration with and under the supervision of the Teacher Residency Program (TRP) Coordinator:
Lead the planning and implementation of the TRP Consortium Initiative
Communicate strategic planning vision and goals with key personnel within PUC Schools and PUC National
Recruit individuals to serve on the TRP Strategic Expansion Planning Committee
As part of the work with this committee, develop a 5-year sustainable Strategic Expansion Plan for the PUC TRP, including but not limited to costs, funding, resources, and needs from host and partner LEAs
Develop marketing materials for use during outreach meetings with external partners
Identify and recruit K-12 schools within the San Fernando Valley and Northeast Los Angeles region to participate in the consortium
Cultivate, establish, and maintain partnerships with school administrators, district officials, and other stakeholders to ensure the success of the initiative
Conduct outreach, including but not limited to holding online and in-person Informational and Recruitment Sessions at local community events and other activities
Secure partnerships through Commitment Letters and Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) between PUC and Partner LEAs (the Consortium) and LMU
Recruit and convene Consortium Advisory Board comprised of strategic personnel from PUC, partner LEAs, host schools, and LMU
As part of the work with this Board, delineate shared program mission, vision, and commitment to equity and justice, establish equitable and just collaboration, communication, and decision-making practices, collaboratively delineate short- and long-term residency goals, and determine fiscal sustainability with Consortium partners
Determine recruitment strategy targets and develop strategic recruitment plan
Recruit and hire Mentors from Partner LEAs and PUC schools
Recruit and hire Residents for Partner LEAs and PUC schools
Develop and implement Mentor on-boarding processes
Travel to PUC school site locations in the valley or LA, the PUC Home Office in Burbank, Partner LEAs and attend events on weekends as needed to build partnerships with surrounding school districts
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
What do we require from you?
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in related field, equivalent training and experience required
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in related field preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in the field of education
Experience with 2 3 years of coaching to support others to develop their competencies is preferred
Minimum 2 years' experience with project management or the equivalent preferred
Skills and Abilities
Passionate about education reform and innovative preparation programs
Excellent skills in analyzing and solving problems
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to collaborate with multiple partners and navigate varying interests
Strong project management and team management skills
Comfort with student achievement data, financial models, and establishing and tracking performance metrics
Proficient with Google Suite: Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms
Alignment with core characteristics required of every PUC employee: pursuit of excellence, innovation, community, tenacity, and authenticity
Must be flexible and team-oriented through the hybrid work mode: in-person and online
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong work ethic, accountability, and ownership of work

Ability to multi-task and follow through on projects from start to finish
Regular attendance, dependability and, punctuality in conformance with the standards are essential to the successful performance of this position
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally required to kneel, climb, and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level, lift up to 30 pounds. To bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below. Always required to wear the appropriate safety equipment for the task, which may include gloves, goggles, aprons, belts, etc.
