Requirements / Qualifications

The District is seeking three highly qualified ToSAs to support the area of art instruction as itinerant instructors. The Art ToSAs are under the direction of the Student Achievement Coordinator, with support from the school principals or designees.

A brief summary of the Art ToSA's duties is as follows: • Conduct art instruction at multiple elementary school sites, approximately 3-4 sites. o Receive mileage reimbursement for travel between sites and a cell phone stipend. o Receive travel time when multiple sites are scheduled in a single day. • Collaboratively develop the scope and sequence for the art program based on the VAPA standards and District-approved curriculum for elementary students. • Deliver art lessons on an intermittent basis to designated classes, adhering to a rotation schedule. • Provide art instruction within the assigned classroom of each teacher of record. • Assist classroom teachers in evaluation of student growth. • Participate in VAPA department collaborations and professional development. • Participate in professional development sessions at the start of the school year, with optional summer hours available for additional training. REQUIREMENTS • Three years of successful teaching experience in grades TK-8th grade • California.teaching credential to the specific assignment such as any of the following below: • Multiple Subject • Single Subject, or • Education Specialist Credential and Title V Regulations • English Learner Authorization PREFERENCES • Specialized training or certificates related to teaching art, specifically visual arts • Experience in instruction of elementary students • Understanding of instruction across the grade level spans • Bilingual/biliterate (Spanish) Please attach the following supporting documents to your online application: • Complete online application • Letter of Intent • Resumé
