We are currently seeking a Teacher of the Hearing Impaired/Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Newark, DE:

  • Full-time, 5 days per week
  • 1:1, Elementary caseload
  • Position will provide academic, social/recreational, and communicative (ASL) instruction
  • Develop and implementation of IEP goal areas
  • Weekly team meetings to discuss students progress

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Deaf Education with Council of the Education of the Deaf
  • Eligible for certification in DE as a Teacher of Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Experience with elementary level
  • Sign language skills

Full or Part Time * No late week nights * No weekends * Great place to work * The Teacher helps the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing the daily program for children, supervises the class when the Lead is out of the room, helps with meals, safety and assists in maintaining a clean and orderly room and Center. May be assisted in the classroom by an Aide/Assistant Teacher.
