2.Position is associated with the terms and conditions of the negotiated Agreement between the Educational Association of Paramus (EAP) and the Board of Education. Reports To:

Principal and Supervisor of Visual and Performing Arts Job Goal(s): The Stony Lane Elementary Music Teaching position includes teaching general music to students in grades pre-k to grade 4, and providing small group instruction to students involved in the 4th-grade band, orchestra, and choir programs. The job also includes teaching general music classes at West Brook Middle School 2 days a week.

1.Build a school and classroom culture in which students gain an interest in and appreciation for music and the arts

2.Guide the learning process toward the achievement of established NJSLS and district curriculum goals and implement a variety of teaching and assessment techniques (including formative and summative) to ensure student achievement and engagement

3.Collaborate regularly with the Pre-K-Grade 12 professional learning community to promote cohesiveness and unity within the program
