The Teacher Education Center seeks an experienced project manager who will be responsible for leading a large scale highly visible and complex privately funded multimillion-dollar program for teacher preparation students through the full project lifecycle.

Project Manager is responsible for the operational and administrative success of the project which includes identifying appropriate resources and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project.

The Project Manager will be responsible for engaging with key stakeholders, leading stakeholder management, producing project artifacts, capturing and managing project risks, action items, issues, and key decisions throughout the project lifecycle, providing status reports, and assisting in development of the strategy and roadmap for full project implementation. Must be familiar with project management best practices, terminologies, and standard guidelines, as well as have familiarity with a combination of project management methodologies.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. Bachelor's in business, communications or technology related field is preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

A minimum of 3 years of experience project management with demonstrated knowledge of project management tools, processes and techniques, the ability to apply project management framework to meet the project requirements and the effective behaviors and interactions to successfully implement multiple, related projects.
1.Previous project management experience designing and implementing large-scale, multimillion dollar projects within a complex environment.
2.Ability to track and analyze data, statistics, and trends with keen attention to detail and precision.
3.Planning and organizational skills with ability to handle several major projects simultaneously.
4.Excellent public speaking, interpersonal, critical decision-making ability, and oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information effectively.
5.Ability to provide outreach to a variety of audiences, including but not limited to prospective and current students interested in teacher education.
6.Strong problem solving and creative skills, along with the ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
7.Demonstrated ability to work creatively and efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.
8.Experience leading cross-functional teams and building effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
9.Exemplary work ethic, a strong sense of initiative, flexibility, discretion, sensitivity and excellent judgement.

11. Preferred experience in higher education.

The person in this position will be responsible for leading the continued development and support of the Child Support Data Warehouse which will be the foundation for integrating decision analytics into all level of the Wisconsin Child Support Program. This position requires an individual who typically has 7+ years of business intelligence project management. Professional certification is required.<br /><br />The individual in this position will assist in the development, release, and negotiation of a Request for Proposal (RFP) which will secure a vendor who will assist in the construction of a data warehouse and analytics initiative.<br />Qualified candidates will have experience in vendor management and relations as they will be responsible for leading a small internal team and larger vendor based team.<br /><br />Experience in building effective teams, successfully managing project timelines and budgets, as well as producing high quality project artifacts (charter, project plans, etc.) is required.<br /><br />The person in this position will be working closely with the Executive and Business Sponsors, IT Senior Management, and other Department Leaders to ensure priorities of the project are understood and managed accordingly. He/she will understand business objectives and problems and work with the multiple stakeholders to ensure complex technical and non-technical problems are solved.<br /><br />A strong understanding Kimball Data Warehouse design principals, experience in gathering requirements for data warehouse projects, and experience in design and development of data warehouse projects is required. Any experience with advanced analytics is preferred.<br /><br />The individual in this position will also be responsible for researching new technology and developing business cases to support enterprise wide business intelligence solutions.<br />Other Notes to Vendors:<br />1) Phone &amp; Web Based interviews acceptable for interviews prior to final interview.
